I found out a few days ago about this version and it was not in updates. I also had the problem about user code being erased when loading an old program. I started the program over and rebuilt it. Every time I compiled it complained about a button being missing. I insert it manually and all works ok. I had to reinstall the mikrobasic for pic24 and dspic and lo and behold the problem went away. Also it does not erase the user code. It now compiles without any problem. I finished my project in three days. I have win 8.1 WITH NO updates. My win 8.1 runs flawlessly. I recommend after installation do not do updates. It is just a money sucker from Microsoft. Also make sure your Win is legit. As cracked programs have backdoors and create havoc on your computer. I have run my computer as is, now for over a month and all works great no complaints. I hope these tips will help you.
