SpeakUp Click can be used with UNO mikroBus Shield ?
Arduino works at 5V and SpeakUp Click works at 3.3V. I thought if I can use Relay Click and SpeakUp Click with Arduino using UNO mikroBus Shield. Please confirm if I can use.

Re: SpeakUp Click can be used with UNO Shield ?
Hi,
As I can see from the datasheet for Arduino Uno, there is 3.3V and 5V on POWER 8x1F-H8.5 connector.
Using Arduino UNO click Shield you will have 3.3V for your Speak UP Click.
Also you will have 5V for Relay Click.
Best regards,
Aleksandar

Re: SpeakUp Click can be used with UNO Shield ?
Yes, but UNO signal lines are 5V and doesn't it affect the UART lines of SpeakUP Click ?
UART lines of Arduino are 5V type. Doesn't this kill the UART of SpeakUp Click which is a 3.3V device. Or is it that SpeakUp can tolerate 5V on UART lines ?
I tried SpeakUp Click with Arduino and it killed SpeakUp Click's UART lines. Now, I have to buy a new SpeakUp Click.

Re: SpeakUp Click can be used with UNO Shield ?
Hi,
For the logic lines of every 3.3V module which communicate with 5V board its recommended to use voltage translator or voltage divider.
Best regards,
Aleksandar

Re: SpeakUp Click can be used with UNO Shield ?
Yes, you are right. The Speakup is not dead. It works fine with Arduino with Arduino Click Shield. It is working fine. Will it get damaged if used for a long time ? because THE UART lines of Arduino are 5V type and that of SpeakUp is 3.3V type.

Re: SpeakUp Click can be used with UNO Shield ?
Hi,
Probably yes.
Therefore I suggest you to protect your UART lines by limiting logic lines on 3.3V for SpeakUp.
Best regards,
Aleksandar
