Images not displaying on mikromedia for PIC32 with ILI9341

Hi,
I've just received a new Mikromedia for PIC32 board. On arrival it was displaying its tiger image just fine, and when I used mikroC v3.3.0 to produce a simple IO-toggling program, this worked fine too.
However after this I have been unable to get any of the examples to display images on the TFT. I tried the ones that come with mikroC; I tried the ones downloadable from libstock at http://www.libstock.com/projects/view/1 ... 2-examples . I tried VisualTFT v3.50, but only got as far as realizing that it does NOT have a hardware pattern for my board (no PIC32 for Mikromedia boards, although there is one for MikroMMB).
The examples appear to upload and run (I am using mikroBootloader v2.1.0.0), but the screen stays white. When I upload my IO-toggling program, I see RB0 toggling at the rate I expect; when I upload something else, I see RB0 staying flat.
I wonder if this has something to do with the insert that came with my board, which reads: "As of March 20th 2013, all mikroElektronika products that used to contain MI0283QT-2 display with HX8347D controller now feature the new improved MI0283QT-9A display with ILI9341 display controller." My board does indeed have the new display.
Can anyone help? I am working on a project that is all about displaying images...
Thanks,
Dan
