GSM2 Click communication problem

#1 Post by migdad » 28 May 2015 09:41

Hi everybody

I just purchased GSM2 Click. I successfully turned it on but when I send the AT Command "AT\r", "AT<cr>" or "AT" to set the baud rate I always receive back "AT" from the module!! I never receive "OK" at all!!. and this continues with other commands, the module always echos "AT"!.

I tried to use GSM Click before, I also sent AT commands I also never received "OK" response!! it was echoing the same command I send, for instance if I send "AT+CMEE=2<cr>" I receive "AT+CMEE=2", if I receive "AT\r" I receive "AT" back!!.

When I call the sim card I get a ring so there's no problem with powering up and network.

Please help me out. I've been delayed a lot on a fast track project I'm working on!!.

Best regards

Migdad Ahmed

Hi,

I suggest you to try to swap Rx and Tx lines.
For example Rx line of module should be connected to Tx of MCU and Tx pin of module should be connected to the Rx of the MCU.

This should fix your echo problem.

Best regards,
Aleksandar
