What's On-Board
RS-232 communication with a PC or an MCU is available via DB9 connector and MAX232 level converter.
The system can be configured by means of DIP switches. Each DIP switch configures one part of the system.
Temperature sensor DS1820 measures temperature from -55°C to 125°C. It is connected to the system via socket.
System supports MCUs in DIP8, DIP14, DIP18, DIP20, DIP28 and DIP40 packages. It comes with an ATMEGA16.
Very fast on-board USB 2.0 programmer.
USB or external power supply source is selected by moving a jumper. Power supply switch turns the system on/off.
4 seven-segment displays in multiplex mode. They are interfaced to the microcontroller.
All microcontroller pins are connected to the IDC10 connectors for further expansion.
32 LEDs (Light Emitting Diodes) are used to indicate the logic state of all microcontroller pins.
On-board jumpers are used for pull-up/pull-down port configuration. These jumpers are available for all pins.
32 push buttons are used to excite microcontroller digital inputs. They are connected to all microcontrollers pins.
DIP switch is used to separate port pins from pull-up/pull-down resistors.
USB communication connector is used to connect the programmer to a PC.
LCD can be easily connected to the board via the appropriate on-board connector that is also connected to MCU pins.
LCD Contrast Potentiometer is used to adjust LCD contrast in a fast and easy way.
Touch Screen can be connected to the board via touch screen connector. There is also a touch screen controller.
External power supply can be DC or AC. The on-board jumper is used for selecting external power supply.
Quartz Crystal is replaceable. Jumpers are used to configure pins as oscillator inputs or regular I/O pins.
Graphic LCD 128x64 can be easily connected to the board via the connector that is also connected to the MCU pins.
All microcontroller pins are marked on the back of the board. These marks provide basic information on the pins.
Voltage level to be applied when a button is pressed (GND or +5V) is selected by means of the on-board jumper.
MMC\SD card slot enables you to use MMC/SD cards in your work.
Reset circuit is used to reset the microcontroller. It is connected to the MCLR pin of the microcontroller.
JTAG connector supports in-circuit debugging and firmware programming.
On-Board USB 2.0 Programmer
On-board USB 2.0 programmer AVRprog2 doesn't use bootloader or any similar software for programming. The whole AVR memory and all pins are available to you. This is a fast USB AVR InSystem programmer for your future projects. The latest AVRprog2 Programmer is driven and powered by a single USB port on your PC. No additional AC power adapter is needed. The programmer is recognized by Windows, which simplifies the driver installation. The programmer board is specifically designed for In-Circuit Serial Programming (ICSP). The External Programmer and JTAG can also be connected and used with the EasyAVR5A development system.

Windows® Certified Drivers
Drivers for the on-board programmer are Microsoft® Windows® XP, Windows® Vista and Windows® 7 certified. The Windows certificate is a proof that the programmer supports mentioned Windows operating systems and is immediately recognized by the system, which guarantees correct Plug and Play functionality. Driver certification provides users with a wide range of benefits such as stable functioning, the ability to install and delete drivers without rebooting and compatibility with future versions of Windows.
