Overview
dsPICprog with mikroICD is a programmer and in-circuit debugger for dsPIC30F microcontrollers.
Very fast, on-board USB 2.0 programmer with a simplified driver installation.
mikroICD is a hardware tool designed for testing and debugging programs on dsPIC30F MCUs.
Description

One of the possible ways of connecting dsPICprog with mikroICD to a microcontroller is via an IDC10 connector. Refer to figure on the right. You just have to place one 2x5 connector between the microcontroller and other on-board components. By inserting dsPICprog with mikroICD connector you will be able to perform dsPIC In System Programming.
When plugged in ZIF socket, it becomes a standard programmer.
Our latest dsPICprog with mikroICD programmer is driven and powered by a single USB port on a PC. No additional AC power adapter is needed. The programmer is recognized by Windows, which simplifies the driver installation. The programmer board is specifically designed for In-Circuit Serial Programming (ICSP).
dsPICprog with mikroICD support - USB 2.0 programmer and mikroICD (In-Circuit Debugger)

2 in 1 Development Tool - On-Board USB 2.0 programmer + On-Board mikroICD (In-Circuit Debugger): mikroICD is a highly effective tool for Real-Time debugging at hardware level. It enables you to execute mikroC PRO, mikroPascal PRO and mikroBasic PRO programs on a host dsPIC30F MCU and monitor variable values, Special Function Registers (SFRs), RAM and EEPROM memory modules while the program is running. There is also an ultra fast USB 2.0 programmer for MCU programming that now supports a wide range of dsPIC30F MCUs.
The microcontroller is connected to the dsPICprog programmer via 5 lines, two of which are +5V and GND. Unlike programmers whose operation is based on bootloaders and need to put a part of their memory at a bootload program's disposal, dsPICprog programs the microcontroller externally so that the entire memory is available to the programmer. dsPIC microcontrollers can be programmed with 5V and 12.5 V. If 5V is used, the RB3 pin is used for programming and therefore cannot be used for other purposes. dsPICprog generates 12.5V by means of a supply pump, thus leaving the RB3 pin free. Connection to a PC is established via the USB port, which means that the dsPICprog programmer can work with all computers.
Windows® Certified Drivers
Drivers for the programmer are Microsoft® Windows® XP, Windows® Vista and Windows® 7 certified. The Windows certificate is a proof that the programmer supports mentioned Windows operating systems and is immediately recognized by the system, which guarantees correct Plug and Play functionality. Driver certification provides users with a wide range of benefits such as stable functioning, the ability to install and delete drivers without rebooting and compatibility with future versions of Windows.

Supported Microcontrollers
The dsPICprog programmer supports a wide range of dsPIC30F MCUs. Newly released dsPIC30F microcontrollers will be supported by a new version of dsPICprog software that is updated regularly. Here is a list of microcontrollers supported by the dsPICprog programmer:
