Overview
BIGAVR2 is a development system that supports a wide range of 64- and 100-pin AVR MCUs.
Very fast, on-board USB 2.0 programmer with a simplified driver installation.
Add mass storage support to your prototype device using MMC/SD cards.
BIGAVR2 allows AVR microcontrollers to be interfaced with a wide range of peripheral modules.
On-board potentiometers are used for testing A/D converter inputs.
On-board touch screen controller with a touch panel connector.
What's On-Board
Double RS-232 communication with a PC or a microcontroller is performed via DB9 connector.
System can be configured by means of DIP switches. Each DIP switch configures one part of the system.
2 potentiometers are used for testing multiple A/D conversions. Inputs can be configured via jumpers.
System supports 64- and 100-pin AVR microcontrollers. It comes with an ATMEGA128.
Very fast, on-board USB 2.0 programmer. There is no need for connecting the external programmer.
USB or external power supply source is selected by moving a jumper. Power supply switch turns the system on/off.
Either VCC (5V) or 4.096 V can be used as a voltage reference for A/D and D/A converters.
All microcontroller pins are connected to the IDC10 connectors for further expansion.
86 LEDs are used to indicate the logic state of all microcontroller pins.
On-board jumpers are used for pull-up/pull-down port configuration. These jumpers are available for all pins.
86 push buttons are used to excite microcontroller digital inputs. They are connected to all microcontroller pins.
RS232 can be easily configured via a DIP switch used to separate communication lines.
On-board USB connector is used for connecting the programmer with a PC.
LCD can be connected to the board via the appropriate on-board connector that is connected to MCU pins.
GLCD contrast potentiometer is used to adjust graphic LCD contrast.
Touch screen is connected to the board via the touch screen controller.
External power supply can be DC or AC. The on-board jumper is used for selecting external power supply.
Quartz Crystal is replaceable. On-board jumpers are used for clock source configuration (oscillator or crystal).
Graphic LCD 128x64 can be easily connected via the appropriate on-board connector.
MCU pins are marked on the back of the board. These marks give basic information on the pins.
Voltage level to be applied when a button is pressed (GND or +5V) is selected via the on-board jumper.
MMC\SD card slot enables you to use MMC/SD cards in your work.
Reset circuit is used to reset the microcontroller. It is connected to the MCLR pin of the microcontroller.
JTAG connector enables easy prototype development and debugging.
On-Board USB 2.0 Programmer
On-board USB 2.0 programmer AVRprog2 doesn't use bootloader or any similar software for programming. The whole AVR memory and all pins are available to you. This is a fast USB AVR InSystem programmer perfect for your future projects. Our latest AVRprog2 Programmer is driven and powered by a single USB port on your PC. No additional AC power adapter is needed. The programmer is recognized by Windows, which simplifies the driver installation. The programmer board is specifically designed for In-Circuit Serial Programming (ICSP). The External Programmer and JTAG can also be connected and used with the BIGAVR2 development system.

Windows® Certified Drivers
Drivers for the on-board programmer are Microsoft® Windows® XP, Windows® Vista and Windows® 7 certified. The Windows certificate is a proof that the programmer supports mentioned Windows operating systems and is immediately recognized by the system, which guarantees correct Plug and Play functionality. Driver certification provides users with a wide range of benefits such as stable functioning, the ability to install and delete drivers without rebooting and compatibility with future versions of Windows.
