mikroICD is a hardware tool designed for testing and debugging programs on dsPIC30F MCUs.
EasydsPIC4A allows dsPIC30F microcontrollers to be interfaced with a wide range of peripheral devices.
On-board potentiometers that are used for testing A/D converter inputs.
EasydsPIC4A includes an on-board Touch Screen controller with a Touch Panel connector.
What's On-Board
RS-232 communication with a PC or an MCU is available via DB9 connector and MAX232 level converter.
System can be configured by means of DIP switches. Each DIP switch configures one part of the system.
Voltage reference used for A/D or D/A converter can be either VCC (5V) or 4.096 V.
System provides support for MCUs in DIP18, DIP28 and DIP40 packages. It comes with a dsPIC30F4013.
2 potentiometers are used for testing multiple A/D conversions. Inputs can be configured via jumpers.
USB or external power supply source is selected by moving a jumper. Power supply switch turns the system on/off.
ICD2 connector is used for connecting external programmer/debugger.
All microcontroller pins are connected to the IDC10 connectors for further expansion.
40 LEDs (Light Emitting Diodes) are used to indicate the logic state of all microcontroller pins.
On-board jumpers are used for pull-up or pull-down port configuration. They are available for all pins.
41 push buttons are used to excite microcontroller digital inputs. They are connected to all microcontroller pins.
DIP switch is used to separate port pins from pull-up or pull-down resistors.
Very fast USB 2.0 programmer with mikroICD. There is no need for connecting the external programmer.
LCD can be easily connected to the system via the on-board connector that is also connected to MCU pins.
GLCD Contrast Potentiometer is used for adjusting display contrast.
Touch Screen can be connected to the board via the Touch screen connector. There is also a Touch Screen controller.
External power supply can be DC or AC. On-board jumper is used for selecting external power supply.
Quartz Crystal is replaceable. The oscillator circuit is directly connected to microcontroller pins.
Graphic LCD 128x64 can be connected to the board via the on-board connector linked to MCU pins.
All pins are marked on the back of the board. These marks provide basic information on the pins.
Voltage level to be applied when a button is pressed (GND or +5V) is selected via the on-board jumper.
USB connector is used to connect the on-board programmer with a PC.
Reset circuit is used to reset the microcontroller. It is connected to the MCLR pin of the microcontroller.
Graphic LCD is directly connected to microcontroller pins.
On-Board Programmer and In-Circuit Debugger

3 in 1 Development System - Development System + On-Board USB 2.0 programmer + On-Board mikroICD (In-Circuit Debugger): mikroICD is a highly effective tool for Real-Time debugging at hardware level. It enables you to execute mikroC, mikroPascal and mikroBasic programs on a host dsPIC30F microcontroller and monitor variable values, Special Function Registers (SFRs), RAM and EEPROM memory modules while the program is running. There is also an ultra fast USB 2.0 programmer for MCU programming that now supports more dsPIC30F microcontrollers.
Windows® Certified Drivers
Drivers for the on-board programmer are Microsoft® Windows® XP, Windows® Vista and Windows® 7 certified. The Windows certificate is a proof that the programmer supports mentioned Windows operating systems and is immediately recognized by the system, which guarantees correct Plug and Play functionality. Driver certification provides users with a wide range of benefits such as stable functioning, the ability to install and delete drivers without rebooting and compatibility with future versions of Windows.
