Overview
PICPLC16B is a system designed for controlling industrial machines with 16 opto-inputs and 16 relays.
Very fast, on-board USB 2.0 programmer with a simplified driver installation.
mikroICD is a hardware tool designed for testing and debugging programs on PIC microcontrollers.
Each relay has its own varistor protecting the contacts against sparks. When boxed, the system may be used in moist and dusty environment.
On-board Serial Ethernet Module ENC28J60 that uses SPI communication.
PICPLC16B features an on-board 12-bit, 4 input A/D converter MCP3204 with SPI interface.
What's On-Board
On-board jumpers are used to enable and disable the on-board USB programmer.
RS485 communication module enables the microcontroller to communicate through the 485 network.
RS-232 communication with a PC or a microcontroller is available via the screw terminal.
Screw terminals enable easy connection with peripheral modules.
Jumpers are used for pull-up/pull-down port configuration. These jumpers are available for all pins.
Screw terminal for on-board power supply with a switch for turning the system on/off.
Very fast, on-board USB 2.0 programmer with mikroICD. There is no need for connecting the external programmer.
16 input lines with fast HP2630 optocouplers with Smitth trigger.
PICPLC16B comes with the PIC18F4520 microcontroller. This microcontroller is replaceable.
Each relay has a LED for optical signalization. When relay is active, the appropriate LED is turned on.
All MCU pins are marked on the back of the board. These marks give basic information on the pins.
On-board power supply supervisor is used to enable stable power supply for the system.
4 input A/D converter MCP3204 is used for testing A/D converter inputs.
System can be configured by means of DIP switches. Each DIP switch configures one part of the system.
28-pin, 10BASE-T stand-alone Ethernet Controller ENC28J60 with SPI interface.
All microcontroller pins are connected to the IDC10 connectors for further expansion.
This PLC system has 16 output lines that are connected to relays (up to 10A).
Voltage reference used for A/D and D/A conversions can be either VCC (5V) or 4.096V.
Microchip's ENC28J60 is a 28-pin, 10BASE-T stand-alone Ethernet Controller with the on-board MAC & PHY, 8 Kbytes of Buffer RAM and SPI serial interface. With a small footprint package, the ENC28J60 minimizes complexity, board space and cost.
Target applications include VoIP, Industrial Automation, Building Automation, Home Control, Security and Instrumentation.
On-Board Programmer and In-Circuit Debugger

3 in 1 Development System - PLC System + On-Board USB 2.0 programmer + On-Board mikroICD (In-Circuit Debugger): mikroICD is a highly effective tool for Real-Time debugging at hardware level. It enables you to execute mikroC PRO, mikroPascal PRO and mikroBasic PRO programs on a host PIC microcontroller and monitor variable values, Special Function Registers (SFRs), RAM and EEPROM memory modules while the program is running. There is also an ultra fast USB 2.0 programmer for MCU programming that now supports more PIC microcontrollers.
Windows® Certified Drivers
Drivers for the on-board programmer are Microsoft® Windows® XP, Windows® Vista and Windows® 7 certified. The Windows certificate is a proof that the programmer supports mentioned Windows operating systems and is immediately recognized by the system, which guarantees correct Plug and Play functionality. Driver certification provides users with a wide range of benefits such as stable functioning, the ability to install and delete drivers without rebooting and compatibility with future versions of Windows.
