Very fast USB 2.0 programmer on board.

LCD display plugs in via a connector on PC board.

Selectable contrast :GLCD or for LCD.

On the same connector user can connect GLCD or LCD in 8-bit mode.

External power supply can be DC or AC.

Crystal can be removed and replace with another one.

LCD 2x16 in 8-bit mode.

All pins are marked on the back of the board.

Choose voltage level to be applied when a button is pressed (GND or +5V).

USB comm. connector for MCU who have USB facilities.

Reset circuit.

PS2 connector makes possible direct connection between EasyPIC3 and PC keyboard.

The Graphic LCD (GLCD) allows advanced visual messages to be displayed. The most commonly used graphic LCD has a screen resolution of 128x64 pixels.

When using a character LCD in 8-bit mode, the connector that is shared with the GLCD is used. The character LCD communicates with the MCU via a 8-bit data bus. The most commonly used LCD is 2x16 LCD.

The standard LCD is probably the most widely used data visualization component. Normally, it can display two lines of 16 alphanumeric characters, each made up of 5x7 pixels.

EasyPIC3 development system is a full-featured development board for the Microchip PIC microcontrollers. It was designed to allow students or engineers to easily exercise and explore the capabilities of the PIC microcontrollers. It allows the PIC microcontroller to be interfaced with external circuits to a broad range of the peripheral devices, allowing the user to concentrate just on the software. Figure on the left illustrates the first contact with the development system. On a silkscreen there are marks beside every component. These marks describe connection to microcontroller, operation modes, and some other useful notes. As a result, need for additional schematics is minimized, because all information are already on the board.

USB 2.0 on-board programmer - PICFlash2: You will get the USB programmer which doesn't use boot loader or any similar way of programming. The whole PIC memory and all pins are available to you. If you do use boot loader, you have to leave some RAM memory for this propose, and it is generally not a such good idea if you program in Pascal, C or Basic. Also if you use low-level programming (5 VDC instead 12.5 VDC), note that you lose RB6 pin. PICFlash2 have voltage pump and generate 12.5 VDC so you have all pins for your project. Aside from that, you will have state-of-the-art fast USB PIC In-System programmer for your future projects.
